‘A Feature for Change’ was the brief of the university assignment.
Since 1970, Page 3 of the Sun has been reserved for a full sized image of a topless woman. It has normalised photographs of naked women in the press, despite some of the models being as young as sixteen. Ever since the feature began, it has met criticism, particularly from feminists.
I spoke to protestors outside News International and Lucy Holmes, who is heading up the campaign No More Page 3. I also spoke to glamour model, Nicola Rocco.
